ST TERESA OF AVILA RESOURCE GUIDE
The parish and finance council of St. Teresa Avila have developed guidelines, policies, and procedures to give order and continuity throughout the parish and to provide guidelines for the parish members, ministries, staff, and ministry leaders. These guidelines, policies, and procedures have been formalized in this generalized handbook of instructions, which is distributed to the ministry leaders of the parish and made available to all parish members.

This handbook is revised and brought up to date from time to time to keep instructions current. At a glance, one may think that this handbook is not necessary for the church, but formal, written guidelines, policies, and procedures will assist the pastoral leadership in their role to protect life, promote well-being, reduce risk and liability, and minimize confusion.

The intent of this document is to demonstrate an absolute and unwavering commitment to create within our parish a "safe sanctuary" that will foster healthy growth and development in spiritual and other dimensions as we have the opportunity to provide ministry. Our parish is committed to demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ so that each person is "surrounded by steadfast love, established in the faith, and confirmed and strengthened in the way that leads to eternal life".

This manual should be considered a working document; one that requires regular updates.
